My old one was knocking and squealing. It took me 4 hours to install this new one which was $400 Cheaper than the Greenway Dealership to install. After installing i was amazed how quiet my jeep ran. I reccomend this to anyone that has A few wrench's and patience installing it. Must have is NEW Power steering fluid. Mine was old and black. But then again i have 165000 miles on the old pump. Great price.

Bought this pump, had it professionally installed. After pump was on 4 days noticed big spot on driveway, checked fluid level and it was off the dip stick. Fluid appears to be coming from front of the pump. Now I will have to get mechanic to remove and replace this pump. We wasted a lot of time using this pump. Pump appears to be cheaply made. This mechanic uses Advance all the time for the parts he uses, I am sure from time to time you can get a bad part. The pump does not include a dip stick for measuring the fluid level, or there was not one in the box with the pump I was sold. Very disapointed in this pump. My daughter drives this vehicle and I would hate to see her stranded due to poor quality parts sdopld by Advance.

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump w/Reservoir - Domestic:

I was able to put the remanufactured power steering pump with reservoir on my jeep easily by using the tools borrowed at Advanced Auto in just a few hours. So far it is working great. I would definitely buy additional parts that I need from this store. I returned the old power steering pump and was given $54 back for the core charge. This was easier than trying to order the part online and shipping the old pump back. I was able to complete the entire project in one day due to the location of the store.

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump w/Reservoir - Domestic:

After having my OEM power steering pump fail On my 98' Jeep Cherokee I replaced it with this part. The pump is an exact replacement for the stock unit and has worked perfectly over the past several thousand miles since.

Make sure to pay close attention to how far the stock pulley is pressed on the pump shaft and duplicate the distance once the pulley is pressed on the new pump. Not doing so will result in a squeaking belt.

Make sure you borrow a power steering pump pully puller to swap the pulley over: pounding the pulley on the new pump will easily damage the pulley, the pump bearings, or both.

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump w/Reservoir - Domestic:

The first pump I got wasn't exactly up to par, it had some leakage issues out of the back of the pump case. I removed the pump and took it back to the store and they returned it with no questions asked. The new pump that they gave me worked better then the original did when it was new and I couldn't be happier with the results. I recently moved to Ohio from Virginia and I have always done business with advance in Virginia and I was pleased that no matter what advance I go to, I can always count on their customer service and knowledge ho help me get the job done.
