I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to locate and repair or replace specific parts.

On most vehicles that worked on, the engine computer is located on the passenger side usually located under the carpet or some where under the dash.

A computer on a yehicle can be located in many different places. Under the dash, in the engine bay, or in the trunk. You should look in your owners manual for correct location.
