Comments about Cardone Distributor {Electronic} w/Module - Import Reman:

It gets 1 or 2 stars for quality, but 4 or 5 stars for Advance return policy. I got a new one, and it fixed the car right up. But 3 months later, it died on me, as in, the engine would not rev under load. I took it back, and because the purchase of this unit was in "the system" using my phone number, the unit was replaced ( I kept the receipt but couldn't find it) (this is why I was happy about advance's phone number to part-purchase memory). I put the new one in, and it started right up and ran smooth.

Anyway. I guess I got a dud, but thankfully didn't have to buy a new one.

By the way, replacing this on a 1994 Corolla was very easy. The distributor has a "t" bolt that goes into the engine, so you can only put it in 2 ways, either correctly, or off by 180 degrees. So before takign out the old one, remove the cap, and take a picture of the rotor button. Remove the distributor by 2 bolts with a 12 mm socket. I used 1/4" drive with a small extension. When you put the new distributor in, lightly tighten the 12mm bolts, because you'll have to rotate the unit a tad to fine tune the revving/timing. It was alot easier than I thought it would be. Oh yeah, leave the plug-wires on the old cap, and replace them onto the new cap one by one, so you get the location correct.

Back to this distributor. I got a dud, so just be aware if you get this and in the future, you get some revving issues. I got about a 3-4 trip (30 miles each trip) of noticing some hestitation before the unit went completely haywire.

      Good luck.

      Got a bad one.

Comments about Cardone Distributor {Electronic} w/Module - Import Reman:

Distributor went bad on my 95 Geo Prizm; the car was completely dead. Had a Cardone reman installed and it seemed to fix the problem for about 30 minutes of driving, but then it died again. Started up after cooling off, would run for about 30 minutes before dying and would then refuse to start until cooling off. Replacing with a new distributor (different brand) fixed the problem. Giant waste of time and money. Fortunately the retailer (other parts store) took it back so I was just out the labor. Spend the extra and get a new one.

good buy got it running again

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
