For help with your project, I recommend getting a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. It should be able to help you with detailed instructions on how to do many things.

Just in case anyone else is looking at this question. A quick heads up that you will need a specialty tool on this job. You need an E-4 Torx socket in order to remove the ignition switch. It is a relatively difficult product to locate. In general it takes a couple tools that most novice may not have. You need a hook set to remove the key switch and you need another Torx socket (the female variety) as well. It is a fairly simple procedure if you have the right tools and look up the proper removal procedure for the key switch.
