will this coil work on my 67 mustang with point ignition
Asked on 5/14/2017 by BUD from NY

My mustang 64.5 has a resistor wire in the ignition system. if your 67 has a resistor wire i would thin that it will work. It will give 12 volts for starting then reduce the voltage. if i remember right to 7 to 8 volts.

Yes, it worked fine in my 67 mustang with points ignition. Although just for a recommendation i suggest a higher voltage coil, i used the Pertronix or the Accel ones and they give a lot more juice. I’d also highly recommend an HEI distributor, as points can be quite the headache.
