How often should the ignition coils be changed in my 2004 Dodge Durango(5.7 Hemi)

          A:

Good question, David! The OE manufacturers do not have a recommended maintenance interval on the COP coils. You replace them when they burn out. We find they last about 80,000 miles or so. As a precaution, you could replace them to prevent a future breakdown, but they cannot state that it is necessary. If the truck is driven in severe and very hot conditions, this may be a good idea.
