  • Q:

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L. Many of the these replacement coils that i see say that i need a jumper connector because the new ingnition coils have changed from the original equipment. Do you know if this BWD E224 coil needs this jumper connector?

Hi Chris, I'm glad to assist you! The BWD Ignition Coil - Part No. E224 coil does not need a jumper harness, it is a direct fit. Wells Vehicle Electronics also does use a different coil, and adapts it by adding a connector.

Yes, with reference to your inquiry on the BWD Ignition Coil -part# E224, you can very well replace just the failing or failed coil pack instead of replacing them all at once.
