Car was stalling in cold weather. Replacing the idle air control valve solved it. Engine is idling very good now in all temperatures.

      where are BWD parts made?
Asked on 11/14/2014 by john from Ocean Springs, MS

      1 answer

Hi John, it's a good question! BWD products have multiple manufacturing plants that could result in different countries of origin for the same part.

    • Q:

Could an IAC valve cause the engine to have little power and rev up and down when idleling with the air conditiiner on?
Asked on 8/31/2014 by dicky lee from orlando fl

      1 answer

Hi Dicky Lee, a few symptoms of a clogged IAC are a rough or unsteady idle, and stalling if the valve passage gets too clogged or the valve fails outright. Another sign is engine rpm that drops very low -- possibly to the point of stalling -- when you lift your foot off the gas pedal to slow down. This may be accompanied by an immediate, jerky deceleration as soon as you lift your foot off the pedal, and a backfire through the tailpipe as the engine loads up with excess fuel. I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.
