Engine starts better. Engine now runs poorly on the highway and went from 15MPG to 10MPG. Looking to replace with a better product. Not looking forward to replacing this expensive item also about 4 hours to replace! I shoud have looked for a better quality one(Like OEM). The poor gas mialage now (33% increase in fuel consumption) is not what I expected from a description"helps reduce fuel consumption". Is this one defective? Will Advanced Auto Parts help?

BWD multi-port injectors are an amazing easy replacement for the central SFI that come stock on my 98 Chevy 2500 5.7L 350. Increases the power and makes the truck run incredible. There is nothing bad to say about this product, took an hour to install and have everything back to running condition. I'm glad I choose to switch!

i thought my tahoe had bit the dust . trouble code after trouble code , multi misfire,o2 sensor , rough idle , backfire, poor milage , you name it my truck had it . took a chance on BWD injectors and man am I glad i did !! I cant remember if it ever ran this good and took care of all the trouble codes . my dash looks odd now not having a blinking check engine light, but I can get used to that. do yourself a favor and update from CSFI to MPI if you dont want to buy a new ride . my tahoe is a 96 5.7 4x4 with 254000 miles on it and am hopeing to get at least another 100000 out of it now .

Hi Frank, please follow the removing instruction for Fuel Injector: 1. Remove any accessories from the top of the engine that might interfere with the removal of the fuel injector like engine cover, accessory brackets or air cleaner assembly components. Use a wrench or ratchet and socket as needed. 2. Unplug the wiring harness from the fuel injector you want to remove. Press the lock tab on the connector and pull the plastic connector off the injector. 3. Locate the mounting screws of the fuel rail with the injector you need to remove and unfasten the bolts using a ratchet, ratchet extension and socket. 4. Carefully lift the fuel rail as you pull the injectors from the intake manifold. Place clean shop rags on top of the intake injector openings to prevent contamination or small objects from falling inside the manifold. 5. Detach the injector you want to replace from the fuel rail. Depending on your particular model, the injector might be attached with a screw or pressed fit into the fuel rail. Use a wrench or ratchet and socket if necessary. 6. Store any seals, washers, boots or collars that might come off after pulling the injector off the fuel rail.
