Comments about BWD Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve:

Yesterday I got that EGR Valve installed on my 97 Ford F150, I was feeling a sluggish rough idling as I was pressing the gas pedal on the road plus no good acceleration, well after I got the EGR Valve installed, I got in the truck to leave the mechanic shop, as soon as I pressed the gas pedal, I declare if I feel a smooth pedal and immediate response so I recommend the product to yall out there, it definitely made a difference and I like the warranty on it, I had a code on my diagnostic scanner tool that read EGR insufficient flow detected and that new EGR Valve solved the problem, thanks AAP.

Comments about BWD Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve:

I needed a stock replacement for my Mustang's EGR valve (The old one was stuck on the stock plenum I wanted to replace). This was inexpensive, fit exactly the same and the car runs well. It's been on for about a month, and I've had no issues with it.

Hi Brod, glad to serve you! The possible causes for P0455 codeon your Ford Expedition are missing or loose fuel cap, incorrect fuel filler cap used, fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close, EVAP canister or fuel tank leaks, EVAP system hose leaking, and fuel tank leaking. I would suggest that you to take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.

That's a great question, travo! An EGR valve, the abbreviation for exhaust gas recirculation, is a device that takes the heat from the exhaust and puts it back in the engine combustion cycle. This system reduces the amount of harmful gasses that vehicles emit into the atmosphere. The symptoms of a bad EGR valve include a rough idle and an increase in fuel consumption. Overheating and pinging are other symptoms of bad EGR valve. However, without the presence of your vehicle I would not be able to properly diagnose it, nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.

The EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve has 2, equally important functions: 1)They reduce oxides of nitrogen(NOx) emissions and they reduce engine detonation, or pinging. It does this by recirculating a small amount of exhaust gas back into the intake system. This reduces the combustion temperature. NOx starts to be produced in excessive quantities when temps reach 2500f degrees.
