The only difference is EGR1271 will be an exact O.E (Original Equipment) replacement while EGR1271P matches the original, designed with the professional installer in mind.           THe EGR is going to be located on or near the intake manifold. The EGR gets exhaust from the exhaust manifold then to the intake manifold.
