Worked on 2004 Silverado 2500hd

Comments about BWD Electrical Connector:

The connector was bad on my sensor- you have to take it out to change spark plugs. Anyway, somehow it became damaged and coolant sensor didn't work. This prohibits a warm engine from starting back up due to sending the computer the fuel mixture, etc.

I thought at first it was sensor, but after further inspection I realized it was this connector. I carefully cut the old one off and spliced on this new one. The temperature gauge now works and I can restart my truck easily while engine is warm.

Not even close

Comments about BWD Electrical Connector:

95% of the time when Advance Auto Parts says it's an Exact Fit they are correct and I have trusted their info. Unfortunately I got the other 5% with this purchase. It wasn't even close for a 1998 Dodge Dakota 3.9L ignition coil connector. I blame myself for not looking at the old connector before buying this one...from now on I know better! Lesson learned.

Pros

  • Easy To Install

Cons

  • Not Watertight

Best Uses

  • Replacement

Comments about BWD Electrical Connector:

Item shown in picture appears to be a watertight marine grade connector with a rubber seal at the end open to the environment. Actual item is not as watertight and when used to replace a worn ABS wheel sensor connector it will allow moisture to enter the connector.

Pros

  • Easily Disconnect
  • Easy To Install
  • Seals Great

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Replacement

    Comments about BWD Electrical Connector:

Works with Faria Marine Depth Sounder Gauages. It is a direct replacement for the Mallory 9-26811 that comes stock with the Faria Gauges.

The weather tite connector seals well. The wires appear to be of a high grade and have a nice flex to them. The retaining clip holds tight but not so tight that you break the tab off the device it is attached to when trying to disconnect.

The only con found was that it does not come with butt connectors. It would be nice if the manufacturer included the butt connectors with heat shrink applied.

    Fits: GM HEI (9-26700, 9-26701, 9-26702)

does it matter what color the wire are ? the new has 2 black wires, the old has a yellow and a white, and which color goes where.

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Hi Gator, I'm happy to help you! Because they can fit more than one application, wire colors on pigtails often don't match. It's more important to look at the old connector and put the wires in the same order- "A" to "A" "B" to "B" and so on.
