    how do I take the old one off?

      The distributor cap is retained by screws to the distributor housing. With the ignition OFF, remove the screws, then remove the cap. Unplug the ignition coil wire. Remove both of the wire connectors that are connected to the ignition coil. Remove the two mounting screws from the ignition coil, and then remove the ignition coil. Loosen the screws on the distributor cap using a screwdriver and then remove the distributor. Remove the plug connectors from the ignition module, which is located at the base of the distributor, and then unplug the pick-up coil connector from the back of the ignition module. Remove the bracket that is located at the base of the distributor. Lift the pick-up coil and plate assembly from the housing. Press on the retainer located on the underside of the lower plate. Carefully remove the pick-up coil.
