    I have a 2011 2.4 ls chevy malibu and got the engine light checked and it came back as the camshaft position sensor. Guessing this is the right part just curious where it is located.

      Glad to assist, Mike! There are two, one for the intake cam, and one for the exhaust cam on your 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. They are located under the engine cover on top of the camshaft cover on the left side of the engine.

      If you mean an intake CAMSHAFT sensor, then yes, it is also used as an exhaust cam sensor & crankshaft sensor (GM vehicles).

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

      Hi Gene, glad to assist you! The camshaft position sensors on your 2009 Pontiac G6 should be located on the driver side of engine mounted sideways in head with plug extended out towards the driver side. To get more specific information on the location of the camshaft position sensor I would recommend purchasing a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle, not only will it show the location and also explain how to install, but you'll find it handy for many more projects on your vehicle. The repair manual part number for your vehicle is 79025.

      I could be of help, Cooper! It is located at the right rear of the engine under the intake manifold and to the left of the oil filter. There is only one camshaft position sensor on a 2010 Chevy Cobalt.
