2001 Mercury Sable- The AC & Heater stopped working at the same time. There is no air flow om any setting. Will this replacement part solve the issue or might it be the blower motor itself?

                            A:

It might be the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

I have a 2003 Taurus and was having problems with the low and medium fan speeds not working.I replaced the fan selector switch with no results and read the artical from the person from Alabama and checked the motor resistor by jumping it out and all 3 speeds started working.I should have done more research first. Thanks for the info.
