Comments about Bosch Wide-band Oxygen Sensor:

Fit to a tee. Works great. The only problem was getting the old one off. Used a lot of PB Blaster and a long breaker bar to get loose. Other than that it took only about 15 minutes to change both sensors. Check engine light is off.

What is the average miles for replace the oxígeno sensor and the catalítica converter?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Hi Manolo, glad to assist you! Heated three and four-wire O2 sensors on mid-1980s through mid-1990s applications should be changed every 60,000 miles. And on 1996 and newer OBD II-equipped vehicles, the recommended replacement interval is 100,000 miles. Catalysts often last 10 years, but actual life depends on mileage and engine tune. 50,000 miles is a more reasonable benchmark, and you can generally expect to replace the catalytic converter once during the life of a vehicle.

        • Q:

Exactly where will I locate this sensor in order to replace it? You're responding to someone without a lot of technical knowledge so please dumb it down as best you can. The repair shop quoted $300 and after reading the reviews this seems pretty simple once I find where it is, so I want to try it myself. Thanks in advance for your help! - PA

7/8, but you need a special slotted socket, or you can cut the wires on the old one and then you can get a wrench on it if you can get at it
