Bought this for 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS.

The car was experiencing strange problems, like rough idle, power goes out then comes back while I was on stop signal, etc. Check engine light did not come on, but while I was researching about the problem I found that could be the fault of O2 sensor.

Since the price of the sensor was not that expensive (after the discount), I decided to give a try.

Only problem I was experiencing was taking out the old sensor. It was really stuck. Probably it was never replaced.

When I could finally replace it, it really made a big difference. The car runs quiet and no more those strange problems. For the price, I think it was a really great repair.

I think I will be replacing my other car's O2 sensor as well (although it uses different one)

I would not buy this again

Part was used, clip was broken. Part should've been inspected before sold. I returned the part and they had no othere in stock.

Comments about Bosch Oxygen Sensor:

Perfect fit for my 2000 Dodge Dakota 3.9L 2WD. I tried a couple of different O2 sensors but the wiring harness was too short. Most of the ones for these models are too short (12 to 14"), this one was an alternate for my vehicle which was 18" long making it just enough to plug into the existing pigtail harness. Perfect fit & works great for my vehicle!

My Jeep was checked by two mechanics and nothing was found to be the cause of it backfiring and being sluggish. My check engine light never came on. It was the oxygen sensor!!!

Replaced this during an exhaust replacement and it corrected a stalling-out issue as the failed sensor was giving the computer a false signal. Now it runs like a top!!!

Hi JJ, Advance Auto Parts does sell Made in the USA products as well as products manufactured from many other countries in order to keep our pricing competitive. Please also keep in mind that many suppliers have multiple manufacturing plants that could result in different countries of origin for the same part.

                  A:

It should not be too hard to change out the oxygen sensor on your Grand Cherokee. You will most likely need the oxygen sensor socket, but the top oxygen sensor should be accessible from under the hood and the lower sensor should be accessible from underneath the vehicle.
