    for a 2003 f250 5.4 gas engine how do you get the unit out of the bottom of the tank is it screwed in down there or is it clips that hold it down on the bottom of the tank. Have not seen any good pictures of diagrams on how to pull out the fuel pump assembly.

      The fuel filter is clamped at the bottom of the tank.

      The unit has 2 plastic tabs on either side of the top of pump assembly, if you feel with your hand, and pull the tab out from the bottom, the pump assembly will "unsnap" then pull it straight up.
