Q:takes a 3/4 " groummet, hole in cover 1-1/4"
A:Hi George, I'm glad to assist you! I have searched online, but unable to find the specification of the Beck/Arnley Valve Cover End Plug - Part No. 039-6558. It replaces the Honda # 12513-P72-003. I'd recommend you to contact Beck/Arnley Worldparts directly at 615-220-3200 and they would be in a better position to help you.
Q:Does this simply pop out with a screwdriver? How does new install? Is hondabond or silicon needed? Does oil need to be drained completely or just partially? I have slight oil seepage from this on my 97 crv and I'm hoping valve cover doesn't have to be removed to replace this part. Thanks
A:Yes, you can easily pull the valve cover with a screwdriver. No, you don't have to drain oil while replacing the valve covers. Just remove the spark plug wires you might want to mark which one goes in each hole, remove the bolts and put the new valve cover, tighten the bolts back by hand. Finally give them a slight extra turn with the ratchet.
