Q:Why is the Autolite 386 spark plug classified as "Double Platinum" but only comes in Copper?
A:This Autolite Double Platinum Spark Plug (Part No. 386) has high nickel alloy side electrode with full platinum tips. It also has necked-down full copper core center electrode. It features a platinum-to-platinum firing. Virtually eliminates gap erosion, reduces misfires, and provides improved durability. It's the superior-performing spark plug providing preferred technology for DIS engines.
Q:Is this the right plug for my Massey Ferguson Model 40 tractor?
A:Probably. To be certain, I'd check with your local Massey-Ferguson (AGCO) dealer. In case you didn't know, AGCO bought out MF a few years back. You can Google them to find a dealer near you. I know these are correct for a GAS John Deere 4020, and also select JD 2-cylinder tractors as well. Set your gap at .025". Best of luck!
A:Please provide your vehicle’s engine specification for further assistance.
Q:does it fit lawnmowers
A:A lawnmower? No, it's highly unlikely. These are LARGE spark plugs, with 18mm threads and a 1/2" reach. Typically used in larger cubic displacement gasoline engines used in Farm Tractors. For example, I know for a fact that one correct application for these plugs is to be used in a John Deere 4020 tractor with the gasoline engine. They are also used in select vintage 2-cylinder JD tractor engines as well.
A:It is a small engine spark plug such as a lawn mower engine.
