I bought this for my sons car. First I checked the pressures on my Tahoe it said 50.5 psi. I thought really? Rides normal. I tested it against a number of calibrated gauges in our shop, (I work for a Department of Defense Contractor) All of our measurement, torque, pressure, temp etc tools are regularly calibrated as required by Government contracts. All the gauges in our shop gave the same results,35psi. This digital gauge reads 15.5 psi high.

The Sentry SY504 is also sold as the Autocraft AC59, so the packaging may be different than pictured. But the gauges are the same. The LED display and flashlight make it easy to use in the dark.

Comments about AutoCraft Digital LED Tire Gauge:

This seems to be a reasonably accurate tire pressure gauge with +/- 1% accuracy according to the manufacturer. However, it does not come with a factory calibration certificate or any quality control guarantee. So, +/- 1% accuracy is not verified. I appreciate if the manufacturer provides some assurance to the customers in this regard.

Replaced an older, plastic electronic unit; this unit was bought for the price of replacing the older unit's batteries. Metal construction adds ruggedness and rigidity and makes taking the measurement easier. Also light aids in locating the stem and reading values in dark garage or at night. Very pleased with product.

Comments about AutoCraft Digital LED Tire Gauge:

Product worked well for 2 years, then the plastic tip split in 2 and it was hard to hold on the valve.

After 5 years the batteries gave out (expected), but when I put fresh batteries in (carefully) for some unknown reason the unit will not come on anymore with the on switch. It comes on as you insert the batteries, reads erratically, goes off and will not come back on with the switch.

                    I won't buy it again.

I have a tire gauge the looks just like the sentry guage but it is packaged in a AUTOCRAFT container. There is no name on the gauge itself. The package shows part #AC59.
That being said, when I went to use the gauge it is reading 8 to 10 PSI less than any other gauge I own. Is there some way to reset this gauge?

Yes, this is a Sentry Digital LED Tire Gauge with Part No. AC59/SY504 marketed under Autocraft brand. Accuracy rate of this Tire gauge is +/- 1% at the operating temperature range of 5-115 Deg F. As per your inquiry the PSI seems to be much less. Please call us at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and we would be more than happy to assist you.
