Does this battery come ready to install or do you have to mix acid and charge it first?

The battery comes with an acid pack.  You have to add it to the battery yourself and then charge the battery.

Add the acid and slow charge 1 or 2 amps till completely charged. They are good batteries should hold up well.

It comes with the acid to put into it. Easy to do. After I did that, I put it in my ATV and it started right up. I did by a trickle charger for it.

You have to fill and charge.  Buy the sealed battery, lasts longer and ready to roll.

It comes with a single separate container of acid, and all you do is put the plastic tube on the acid container and fill up each cell from the plugs on top to the fill line and then charge it for an hour or 2 and it's good to go. Sounds a lot more complicated than it is. It's really easy and is fast. You can just fill it and use it rite away but it cuts down on long term battery life. Hope this helps. Sign up for advanced auto rewards also and you can get discounts on it as I had rewards and coupon and got it for $19.

You have to add acid and then charge it.  Kind of a pain, I ended up buying another one that was the sealed type.

What is the better recharge for this battery, 10amp or 2amp?
Asked on 10/3/2016 by Mike from United States

          1 answer

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Hi Mike, happy to help you! An average car battery has a capacity of around 48 amp hour which means that, fully charged, it delivers 1 amp for 48 hours, 2 amps for 24 hours, 8 amps for 6 hours and so on. A basic charger usually charges at around 2 amps and so needs 24 hours to deliver the 48 amps needed to fully charge a flat, 48 amp hour battery. The higher the charge output, the faster a flat battery is recharged. Fast charging is not usually recommended, as it can damage the battery plates.

Can you refill it with distilled water?
          Asked on 7/3/2015 by Death

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Yes, you can refill this lead acid battery with distilled water. If the electrolyte levels in the cells are low (plates are exposed), fill each cell to just cover the plates. Then use a battery charger to recharge the battery, or just drive the car for a few days in normal service. Please make sure that you fill the distilled water to the maximum safe level.
