This was a GREAT upgrade from my old lead-acid battery on my motorcycle. This feels like it weighs 1/3 of the weight which makes it very easy to install. 2 really nice features are the LED meter directly on the battery which you can press and it will tell you the charge of the battery. The other thing I like is the battery albeit much smaller than the OEM battery (in height only) comes with a series of sturdy plastic block that can be assembled for different heights to raise the battery to the stock height. It worked perfectly. I think the extra money was worth it as Lithium batteries don't drain like lead-acid, so the need for trickle charge becomes less of a need. It should also have a much longer life too, and no be prone to dead cells like a lead acid battery. I'm very happy with my purchase!

I purchased this Lithium battery for my 2007 Honda VTX, 16 days after I installed it the battery failed to start my bike. I took the seats off the bike to check the cables as I thought maybe one had loosened up, both cables were tight I then pushed the tester button on top of the battery and it showed the battery to be low in charge. I don't ride the bike everyday but I had rode it 6 days prior then parked it. I tried to start it and nothing, I tried to trickle charge it overnight and it still showed a low charge when I push the tester button the next morning. I followed all instructions that came with the battery and it still wont take or hold a charge. I installed an AGM battery and the bike fired right up, I also tested the charging system, that is working fine. Maybe Lithium battery technology isn't the right technology for bikes that only get ridden on sunny weekends.

I wanted a battery with great cranking amps and a light weight. This is an occasional use vehicle and I really like to know that it will crank when I want to use it. Perfect fit and weighs virtually nothing.

Comments about AutoCraft Lithium Power Sport Battery:

Didn't know they offered this battery. When he brought the box out.. I was a little worried. The battery is half the size and a fourth the weight. I even asked what needed to be done before installing. He said everything is ready, just half to install. It has a tester button on top. I checked and it was fully charged. I took it home and installed... WOW! Lots of power and very light. It comes with spacers to obtain the required height for your installation.

Comments about AutoCraft Lithium Power Sport Battery:

The application chart doesn't specify XB12X Ulysses models, but I'm pretty sure all 2003+ XB models use the same H-D brick. This thing is so light it feels like an empty box! But it works- I had to crank for a total of 60sec to wake the bike up after a 2-year nap. There's a capacity check button that lights up 1, 2, or 3 blue LED's to indicate charge state. Spacers included, since it's about 2 inches shorter than stock. More space for tools or whatever. Note- this is Lithium FerroPhosphate (LFP), which has advantages over "regular" li-ion (just wiki LFP). I really don't have any negative comments.

Comments about AutoCraft Lithium Power Sport Battery:

I purchased this battery as a replacement for the acid based battery I had been using. It had a dead cell. This new lithium ion fit like a glove. It even comes with spacers to fit on the bottom of the battery because it's not as tall as the battery I replaced so the spacers help it to fit the battery box. Great battery and my bike seems to run better with it. I'm glad I got it.

    There is one con.

    By

    from PA

Comments about AutoCraft Lithium Power Sport Battery:

Ok. Positive reviews are great they do influence my buying. This is a very lightweight good cranking battery. They do mention that letting it get below 8 volts is not good and complete discharge is worse. Well life happens and now have a battery that will not charge with lithium charger because battery is below 4 volts. I understand this is on me and totally my fault but things sometimes get in the way of checking to make sure your tender is working every month. This Sucks. So if you buy be warned under no circumstances let this battery discharge. Was happy with it while it lasted.

Comments about AutoCraft Lithium Power Sport Battery:

I like the ordeing and the fact that it was ready in 20 minutes,at my local store. It dose crank the engine over very well.
It is not an exact fit,you have to add plastic blocks to get the proper hieght, and the battery leads had to be mounted on top of post versus side, and I had to cut slots in battery box cover to allow for this. But in the end it dose perform very well.

The salesman at the store sold this to me for my 2011 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. I had it on my machine and it sat for a while and went dead so I while I was looking for a bettery tender, I noticed the website showed it not compatible with my machine. Is the website wrong or the salesman at the store?

I have had luck with the lithium ion battery. I don't use a battery tender and let my bike sit all winter for over nine months at a time. And it just starts right up.
Being a 12 volt system I'd assume any charger will suffice on a low amp setting. Or just jump start the vehicle and let the vehicle charge for you.
The recharging by an alternator is not much different than a low amp trickle charger.
