  • Q:

Can this switch be used to activate an electric fan controller that switches the fans "on" when the switch goes to ground. In other words, how do you make the LED on the switch turn on when you are just interrupting a ground connection? Is this possible with this switch? How do I connect earth, load and supply to achieve this.

Glad to assist, Jose! The ground is only to turn the LED on. Supply and load are connected and disconnected when the switch is pushed. I do not believe you can do what you want with this switch - Part No. 84840.

Hi Lesley, happy to help you! There should be a sticker on the back labeled "earth load supply". The supply would be the 12 volts in, load is the 12 volts out of the accessory you are controlling and earth is the ground for the LED.
