With the '78 Goldwing, installation couldn't be any easier. Pull off the left cover, undo the 2 #3 Phillips battery terminals, release the battery hold-down and pop out the old unit. This one is a DIRECT FIT and practically installs itself. Did I mention 340CCA??? I will NOT be push-starting my 650-pound motorcycle ever again. Yes, improves comfort. No more throwing out my back. Has PLENTY of oomph to spin over the crusty old boxer 4-cylinder for as long as necessary to start her up. Due to its AGM nature, I have no doubt in my mind that it will withstand years of use without any issues. Even if it doesn't I'll be getting the same one as a replacement. I'm sold on this one, and being MADE IN USA I have no reason to ever buy any other battery for my GL.

Needed a battery for my BMW motorcycle. Used the AA computer to tell me which batteries were compatible. I picked the most expensive battery and then verified it on-line and on the phone.

The battery arrived and removing the old battery was easy. The new AA battery would not fit in the compartment and I need to bend, bang and pry to put it in place. Oops. The cable post was not compatible with the battery. Phone call to AA was not productive, nor was the call to the store. So, off to the store I drove, not on my motorcycle, to see if there was any part I could use to adapt the battery to the motorcycle. Although the sales person tried to be helpful, he was not. I left the store empty handed.

Off to the hardware store where I inquired if they had any small metal, right angle brackets with holes on both ends. Yes! $2.99. I hurried home and bolted in the brackets and then bolted on the post cables to the other end of the bracket. Voila! Bike started right up and off I went.

It's hard to believe that AA staff (on-line and in-store, couldn't have been more helpful, though they tried.

Comments about AutoCraft 12-Volt Sealed AGM Premium Powersport Battery, 220 CCA:

Worked great in my 2005 Harley Sportster 1200. Matched the OEM exactly, except the included bronze spacers were needed to extend the terminals flush to the front of the battery. Note: I believe '03 & earlier bikes use a different battery.

Comments about AutoCraft 12-Volt Sealed AGM Premium Powersport Battery, 220 CCA:

Bought this for my bike when they first hit town. Never had a battery that I could just put the key in , turn on the petcock and hit the starter, and this after a two year deployment and left off the charger. Held an 85% charge for two years. Buying a secound one to replace the lead acid in my 83 Kaw. If you need a realy good battery and can't come up with the money for the new Lithium Iron Jobs you'l be happy with these.
