I have over 270,000 miles on my 2002 Pontiac Aztek and over the years and miles the refrigerant has gradually escaped. I have charged many cars back in the "old days" of R-12, but I seldom work on cars anymore and I have never charged a system that uses R-134a until now.

It is very easy to use, even for someone who knows little about cars. This will work on any vehicle that uses R-134a, it will NOT work on older vehicles that use R-12. I appreciate the long braided hose as the service port is tough to get to and located between the front exhaust manifold (hot) and the fan (moving). If you have such a vehicle I suggest putting the hose on and taking it off with the engine not running (although you must have the engine running and air conditioning on in order to charge it).

One thing I should note: If your low side service port is on a suction accumulator (aluminum tank near the firewall), you should not have a problem. However, if your low side service port is on the suction line feeding directly into the compressor (like mine) I suggest keeping the can upright whenever the trigger is pulled. Shake the can vigorously before connecting and shake it while charging.

My air conditioning works like new again!

Tried it on my 2009 Ford F150 - gauge didn't work at first but didn't know it at the time - once the gauge started working, I had already overcharged the AC. Had to take it to a mechanic to fix it - he had to remove 3 ounces of freon. Had plenty left in the can so I decided to try it on my 2003 Nissan Altima - Worked GREAT. Coolest air in that vehicle since we purchased it. I would recommend the product but I would also make sure the gauge worked. It was very simple to do and very pleased at the cold air it provided IMMEDIATELY in the Nissan Altima. It even cools now when sitting still which it hasn't done in years. Give it a try.

Freon charger does its thing!

Comments about AC Pro Professional Formula Refrigerant with Gauge and Hose (20 oz.):

This product is a very compact hose and gauge combination for adding freon to your car's air conditioning. The included freon is top-quality synthetic. It works as described in the instructions. The advantage to having the gauge mount on top of the freon can is that it requires only two hands instead of three.

Yes it works on all vehicles! Just follow the directions EXACTLY as written. Overcharging is NOT better. I used on a 2001 Ford Mustang and it was blowing nice cold air within minutes. Good luck

does this fit to my 2009 toyota rav4?
Dealer refilled my car for three years. They cannot find the leaking points so far.
Asked on 7/9/2017 by Weiwei from Maryland

    • A:

Yes it will fit. Go to the AC Pro website; it has toyota rav4 listed in the port finder. You can also find the port from the website. Since it should only fit to 1 port, you don't even have to look at the ac pro port finder website. Just make sure you don't overfill. If you overfill, it will damage ur condenser. Just follow the tutorial or instructions and stop putting when the dial reaches the desired temperature set point. My condenser got busted bcs i made a mistake by overfilling it.

Yup should fit the low side port, especially for a 2009 everything is r134a now, as a result they all use a standard size port.

      A:

No, Richard! This AC Pro Professional Formula Refrigerant - Part No. ACP-100N/ACP-10 is for the newer refrigerant R-134a for post 1993 vehicles. It will not connect to older vehicles using the older R12 Freon just by nature of its quick connect/disconnect hose coupling.

She needs 36oz of refrigerant to fill the complete system so a 20 oz can will not fully fill her system. But you never need to replace the refrigerant. Just like you never need to replace the air in your tires. Refrigerant is a gas and does not wear out. If she is low she can use the can with the gauge to charge it to the proper level and a 20 oz can would most likely do the trick.

Hello. Look under the hood of the vehicle. There should be a sticker that denotes the system size , capacity and refrigerant type. Be careful. Wear safety goggles! A/C refrigerant will freeze an eyeball in seconds.
