I was in a pinch due to the sway bar link bracket rotting off on my original shocks with 100K miles on them. I ordered a pair of these Monroe shocks, and after installing, they ride worse than the worn OEM shocks. Two years later, the car bounces like a pogo stick. The lifetime warranty is completely worthless considering I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of replacing struts just to put the same low quality garbage back in there. Do yourself a huge favor and buy better quality struts, and stay far away from Monroe.

I got 2 Monroe Quick-Strut Complete Strut Assembly Feb 2020, today APR 2021 the shop just told me they are bad, They were making clunking noises when I hit a bump, or while driving on the road. I took my car to the shop because I just couldn't believe such new struts will go bad that quickly. I commute with my 2012 Malibu back and forth to work, about 20 miles freeway and 2 miles city/day, 5 days a week. no potholes incidents, just plain bad merch, Advance auto told me to bring them in for replacemt but thats not even fixing my issues, since about a year from now they will repeat the same issue. Beside adding the hustle of removal and installation. Well done will definitely advise friends and family before buying MONROE quick struts.

So far so good...I've only had them on my 09 Malibu for about a week. Much better than the worn ones I needed to replace. Hopefully they last for the next couple years. Not ready to trade in my baby just yet!

Anyone who says these are good and have lasted longer than 9 months is not telling the truth or has never used them. I have been through 3 par and I'm done. I heard the YKB are better, so I will try them. Do not waste your time.

These were installed in a 2005 Pontiac G6 GT to replace the worn factory struts. At the end of a year they started to deteriorate in performance (maybe 15,000 in that year). A few months later they were complete junk. I had to take them out and put in KYBs (from a different store, so not a direct comparison to the KYBs on this site). Changing struts is not a fast job, so don't rush to buy these, you'll be doing more work later. They did honor the lifetime warranty.
