    The Duplicolor Perfect Match Lacquer Paint was bought to restore a Tonka car. The color was very close to the original. Application was done over primer that had been sanded - just like repainting a real car. I applied three coats of paint followed by three coats of Duplicolor Clear Coat. One big benefit of using Duplicolor lacquer is there is no time window for applying the next coat as with enamels. As with any painting job, take your time, concentrate on the prep work, and follow the instructions; it will turn out well. The price is about $13 for an 8 ounce spray can. Plenty for small jobs but probably not enough to do a whole door panel.

    What actually led me to purchase this product was replacing one of the letters on the back of my vehicle, and with that being said, I have to go in-depth about my experience with this product (beginning, middle, and end). After ordering the letter "S" and successfully placing it on the back of my vehicle, on the right-hand side, it didn't occur to me until a little bit later that I placed the letter upside down; how this happened, I'm not sure, especially since I was sure I did it right the first time. Afterwards, I removed the letter without causing anything resembling a scratch.... and then I got out the super glue gel. In a decision I would regret later, I glued the section of the car where I removed the "S" from, but in a way that would suggest I was using "traditional glue" as opposed to "super glue." I ended up re-attaching the letter back in the vacant spot, but only after I glued the back of it and placed it on the car, something I should've did first. Needless to say, it looked a hot mess, which necessitated more changes. I removed the letter for a second time, later coming to the conclusion that I would have to repaint that section. I conducted research for the best product for the job, then I arrived at the Advance Auto Parts site, and based on what I typed, one of the first search results was the "Dupli-Color All in 1 Scratch Fix." It didn't take me long to order it online and later pick it up from my local store. The next day, I followed the simple yet effective directions (prep, paint, coat), I found myself fully satisfied with the product and how the paint perfectly matched with my car's black color. Overall, I would strongly recommend this product to anyone looking to repair/repaint small scratches or anything related, as well as an equal recommendation to NOT use ANY kind of super glue anywhere in or outside of your car; the headaches are not worth it.
