First of all the keys are NOT programmable. You need to buy keys even though it says that the ignition switch is with the transponder. That's 30 dollars a key. Also the dealer put it in and it said the transponder went on it?! What does that even mean?! It's less than 24 hours old. I dunno if it's just my luck or if this product is ridiculous

Purchase this for my 2002 Ford F150 SuperCrew it took about 10 seconds to get the old lock out, I went on to YouTube and watched a video on RI programming or recoating the cylinder I took the cylinder apart took my old cylinder apart took the Wafers or slugs as they are called from the old cylinder put them into the new cylinder a couple of glitches here and there but nothing that I couldn't handle, got everything switched up install the cylinder in the truck and now the cylinder works with my original microchip key and I didn't have to rekey the door locks or the tailgate lock this item works fine

I tried to install it but it would not work. Comparing the old ignition cylinder to the new, the new had too large of a pin to work. Had to return it for refund. The summary on the website said it was an ideal fit for my vehicle.

The item is easy to install, but be aware that you will not be able to recode it to use the original key (at least in my case). The coding slugs and slots from BWD cylinder are slightly different than the ones found in my original Ford ignition cylinder.
