Perfect fit and quiet as the original. Definitely recommend going with the Denso, since they are the folks that made the OEM for Honda/Acura.

Installed onto 2009 Acura MDX. Within 6 months started to occasionally get 'Check Charging System', progressively getting worse with more power use, and at some point just when applying brakes (more electrical consumption). Replaced with quality Denso rebuilt alternator. This product is a waist of money and labor.

My vehicle is whining and I changed out the power steering pump and it's still whining so until I find out for sure which part it is I can't rate it because it can easily be a bad alternator

Alternator works fine, however when I went to install it I discovered whoever rebuilt/assembled it didn't line up the case halves correctly, so the lower mounting bolt wouldn't pass through the hole. I took it apart and realigned them rather than return it to the store and wait for another one to come in.

Had a local repair shop do the repair so they did the purchasing of the unit and the install. I was leery when they told me the brand they were putting in but needed to get the car fixed. Drove home the 2 miles and parked the car. the next morning drove it to work about 20 miles and that evening started the car drove about 30 feet when check charging system, abs and just about every other light comes on on the dash. Got it parked and engine died, jumpstarted but still all lights on on the dash. Checked charging system with a multimeter and 0 volts coming from the new alternator. Called the repair shop who stated have it towed in which cost me $190 in addition to the $500 plus for the original repair. Absolute worst piece of auto equipment I have ever bought. Shame on you Advance Auto / Carquest. Should simply be called JUNK JUNK & JUNK.

This second one lasted almost 1 month! At least I made it home, no thanks to the alternator. Ironically I replaced the OEM, which was working fine, due to oil leaking from the valve cover. It was oil soaked so thought I'd be proactive (I know, if it's not broke don't fix it). The first reman replacement lasted 22 months and again was oil soaked when it failed. I didn't fault it. But now with this one, oil leak was fixed, no oil on this one. Do I want a warranty replacement - **** NO. They wouldn't give me a new one. I'm going to Honda.

I was on my way to AC, NJ last Friday for a family vacation. When I was about 30 mins away from the destination, I heard a loud cranking noise under the hood. Alternator that I replaced little over a month ago failed. The car was towed to the nearby mechanic shop costing me around $600 to repair. On top of it towing fee was around $150, Uber $100. The vacation was ruined completely. I will never buy any product that was made by Carquest again.

This was a very low-cost option for a replacement cable. It fit well enough, but was missing the front-most hanger bracket (because of the design of the cable, it could not be scavenged from the original). Seems to work fine ... hopefully is doesn't reduce its life by rubbing where it shouldn't.

I did an online purchase for this and went to pick it up in store. The employee handed me the box and did not check it. I opened the box to verify the condition of the alternator and found that someone had handled it with greasy hands and put it back in the box without the piece of cardboard that protects the pulley. Pulled it out and the pulley wouldn't turn. So likely someone took a return and didn't bother checking to see if someone had destroyed it or not. The second one I bought seems to be fine. Just had to spend an extra 30 minutes running to a different store to get it. Always check alternators before leaving the store.

Installed on a 2014 Honda Pilot, about 115,000 miles. Battery light and check charging system warnings. It was a perfect replacement and saved me money. Overall not a bad install, just tight area to work in, but the product works great and I'm back up and running. Although refurb, it looks and runs like new.

Check charging system light was on after installed first new one. Returned to store and tested good. I reinstalled and checked further to find it was in fact defective. It was charging but check system light was on. Installed a second new one and it worked fine.
