Installed on a Honda Civic.. These only have a few thousand Mike's on them, less than 4 months and both sides busted and leaked oil all over the back of the car. Very poor quality!! I would rate this zero stars if I could.

Normally rebuild struts. Was pressed for time to replace struts on a Honda Civic. Ordered the quick struts to eliminate about two hours work. Bid the job on the estimated hours. Found the first two struts were not positioned correctly with the top mount. Ordered two replacements. Same thing...Had to use spring compression tools and dismantle strut and realign so both mounts were properly aligned. ... If you purchase these, put the old strut side by side with the new one BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE and compare the mounting positions. Ended up eating the labor for this. Called manufacturer and they were no help with issue.

Much better body control than the terrible Monroe-brand rear struts that only lasted 3 months (lower bushings on both failed) and the original equipment. The only criticism I have is that they're markedly stiffer than OE, which I prefer but won't be everyone's cup of tea.

This will not fit a 2005 Honda Civic even if it says it does. After removing the old struts, there was a clear difference in the size of the two. The new struts were about an inch longer and physically impossible to swap for the old ones. I bought these originally online for store pickup to get a $50 discount but when returning to buy the $30+ more expensive struts, I was told I would not get the discount because it was online only, even though I was told the original ones would fit just fine. Save yourself the headache and buy the $169 struts when replacing for a 2005 Honda Civic. It's sad that they advertise this will be a fit when it clearly didn't. I generally use advance auto parts because the prices are hard to beat but after this experience it's hard to say that anymore.

These were warranty replacement shocks for ones I bought only four years ago for the rear of an '08 Honda Civic Coupe. They were more than completely worn out during this period of city and freeway driving >= 35K miles. Caused the back end of car to bottom out over minor bumps and seriously affected handling during moderate braking. Not what I have come to expect from the Monroe line. I will go with KYB brand in the future when I have to pay for shocks or struts again. Monroe just isn't what it used to be even though they are made in the USA. In addition, the current retail price for these shocks cost ~25% MORE than they did in 2017. I doubt they are any better. Probably the opposite. Advance gladly made the swap very simple so my only cost was my drive time and labor to swap them out. I also used Monroe Sensa-Trac replacement strut cartridges, boots, cushions and mounts on the front of this Honda before 2017. They appear to be holding their own. If I have to replace them anytime soon, I'm gonna be very unhappy. Advance should consider discontinuing these MONROE "OE" replacements because they don't last as long as truly OE ones.

Monroe must not have done their math right on this one. The top nut won't allow you to properly compress the included rubber bushings and will cause a clunk noise after installation because it doesn't get tight enough. I swapped over to a KYB instead
