Fit my 2001 Suburban fine and seems to be doing a good job so far. Was actually about a inch shorter than the factory one but took back to the store and compared to 2 others from Monroe and they were all the same length. Had just enough room to start the nut at the top of shock. Could have used jack and a piece of wood to push up wheel hub but did not need to. Make sure to attach bottom first in case you do have to raise the hub. Fairly easy to install, but was a pain to get the factory originals off that were rusted, but it's a 2001 Chevy and they have a rusty reputation.

Immediately noticed huge improvement. Old Z55 electronic shocks were worn out at 180,000 miles. Lifted vehicle a bit by cranking up keys so thought these longer shocks would be a good idea. Seems to have a stainless steel or similar shock body which would be great rust prevention. Don't know if it's just a coating or paint though. So far (800 miles) they working great be interesting to see how long they hold up.

I put them on a silverado z71 with a 2.5" leveling kit. This is a great improvement over the stock shocks. I debated between these shocks and the 5100 series from Bilstien. I have used the Bilstiens in the past and they are great shocks but these perform just as good.

The shocks looked to be of good quality and they fit my 2003 Suburban without a problem. I thought maybe I should get the bigger ot more expensive shocks because of the size of my suburban but my mechanic told me as long as I'm not driving it in a mud bogging contest, that normal shocks are sufficient for the trailer and loads that I pull, which is less than 5,000 pounds. These shocks made a noticeable improvement. As I drive down my long and bumpy dirt drive, there are no more strange noises from under my truck and the ride is smooth without any hard feeling bumps or jerks. I thought I needed tie rod ends and other front end items replaced as this is what I was told at the oil change place and at the tire shop when I got new tires put on. I took my truck to a friend that used to own a repair shop for years before he retired. He checked it out, put new shocks and breaks on it all the way around. It improved the ride and handling, there's no more hard bumps or jerks. Plus the brake pedal has no bounce In it and there's no vibration while coming to a stop. Im couldn't be more pleased with how these shocks perform.

I'M ON MY FOURTH SET OF THESE AFTER THE FIRST SET HAD ONE THAT FELL FLAT ON ITS FACE FROM THE BOX. THE SECOND SET IS PROBABLY STILL IN MY OLD TRUCK THAT RODE LIKE A LUMBER WAGON AFTER INSTALLING THESE. THE THIRD SET WAS IN MY CURRENT TRUCK FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND WORKED AS LONG AS THE ADJUSTERS WERE TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE MOST STIFF SETTING. SO NOW ON MY FOURTH SET THAT HAVE BEEN IN FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS THE ADJUSTERS NO LONGER WORK AND THE RIDE IS LIKE GARBAGE AGAIN, SO-NO MORE OF THESE PIECES OF JUNK. ALL WERE INSTALLED ON A 2007-2013 SILVERADO 1500

Easy install after I figured the first one. Be careful dropping original. They are great hand smashers. You will have to use a pry bar to get them on the control arms. Great look adjustable ride. The only bad is now I have to get air bags for the rear end for towing. I will live

Replaced the front struts a little over a year ago with these. The ride was quite impressive until last month. I can feel the the front tires bounce from even the smallest bump, such as a road reflector, at highway speeds. The handling isn't what it used to be either. My wife said she hit a speed bump a little too fast just before I noticed the change, but I don't see any visible damage to the suspension and there is no damage to the tires or wheels. Shocks and struts should be able to handle the occasional pothole or speed bump without failing. I decided to change over to the Bilstein 4600 series struts instead.

Put on my 2002 Avalanche.. Cornering and handing are very good, but I feel every little bump in the road. I am older and prefer a smother ride, so these shocks are not my first choice. I should have known this on a "performance" shock so I will try to see about a refund.

What a waste of money, time, and effort. I have these shocks all the way around on my Chevy Avalanche and they have all been replaced 1-2 times. Rancho used to have a quality product but they are all junk now. DO NOT BUY RANCHO! Two weeks after replacing the rear shocks, they were visibly leaking. The drivers front has been replaced 2 times, and it needs to be replaced again, it will be replaced but NOT WITH RANCHO! Put these on your trash can wheels for those driveway bumps because that is all they are good for. Rancho should be ashamed of this product.

Lasted almost one day on the front of an Avalanche. I didn't even bother to swap them out. Rancho has had a lot of complaints lately but I though i would given them a try. My mistake. Replaced them with $30 shocks and am much happier with the relativly firmer ride.
