The best way to enhance the ride and handling characteristics of your vehicle even if you are a casual, or like we used to say a "Sunday" (God help us) driver. If you make any suspension improvements such as perfomance bushings and add these shocks you will feel like you are driving a new car. Although I changed the shocks rubber bushings to urethane,because of my driving style, the factory installed rubber bushings will give you a great ride/handling/steering control improvement without having to spend really big bucks, and you get a great warranty in the process. That is especially nice for people that like to drive their vehicle for many many years. I will continue to buy this brand for all my vehicles.

Installed on my 1993 F250 they helped out the ride a bunch over the old Monroes that were on it. Time will tell. I previously installed a complete set of Reflex shocks on my Wrangler JKU and made a big difference over the stock Sahara shocks and they held up well on it.

These Monro shocks were a great improvement on my 43 year old f150 4x4. The original shocks still worked good but rubber grommets rotted away, the new Monro's fit and looked like OEM. I still have original back shocks on, but plan on replacing them too. I gave them 4 stars because they do not put enough paint on their shocks and will eventually rust out, like the set I put on my Explorer few years back.

I replaced my old shocks on the front and rear. I noticed that my F150 handles the rough roads a lot better. Before I could feel a slight sway and a little extra bouncing and I no longer feel that. So far I am very pleased with these shocks, I guess only time will tell how they hold up.

Installed them on the front of my F-150 truck. The one issue I have is the shocks don't come 'strapped' in the compressed position. Compressing the shock and trying to maneuver it around the rubber hose brake line to install results in the shock expanding too 'tall' to install. I had to use a 2 foot wire to wire the compressed shock 'short' so I could install it.

hard to put on for the driver side rear. on my 2wd but after doing so its been a great pleasure! im so glad this was available here on advance auto parts the other places I found it was sketchy. I use it to help with the stuff I haul in the back of my truck, camping, hauling dirt etc. I wanted a step up from OEM, I wanted something heavy duty but not extreme, this is the first pair of rear shocks I've purchased and im glad I did it.

Worth the difference on my 99 Expedition(270K Miles), rides like brand new again. Originals didn't bounce 3 times yet when testing, but the dampening is for sure top notch on the highway which is not that smooth. Im impressed. Gas charge I believe even brought my front up where it was supposed to be. Im going to get a set for the back end pretty soon now.

I installed this on my 2002 F150 Supercrew. Replaced the OEM shocks with 170,000 miles on them. Made a nice difference in the ride. Have had them on for about 6 months now and no problems so far. Not crazy about the bright yellow color, but you can't really see them anyway. One of the shocks had already been installed, the parts bag had been opened and the paint was off the threads so I know it was installed. The shock still looked brand new aside from the paint off the threads, so I am guessing it was installed and taken back off within a few miles. Not worth another trip to the store to get another one, so I used it and it works just fine.

The shock appears to perform well.But, There are no installation instructions on the box or inside the box for the installation of a large accordion style Red rubber boot apparently made to fit over the shock I assume for looks or possibly keep mud/debris from continually splashing on the piston shaft of the upper portion of the shock. All other Mfg. shock absorbers Co's. do not use such a configuration.

The purchace went great online and store pickup. It lost perfect review as 2 boxes had been opened and small parts were now in sandwich zip locks. Some small parts and the Rancho stickers were missing. This is the second time I have had opened boxes and parts missing. I will check all items in the future.

Installed on a 1974 F-250. I debated giving five stars the only reason I didn't was because on one shock I received the bushing sleeve was incredibly rusty for a new part. It must have sat on a shelf somewhere for awhile. Not a huge deal I just cleaned it up but everybody likes shiny new parts. Same shock was missing the zip tie and sticker. Maybe it was a return from somebody or something. Other than those minor complaints they seem like a good product. Smoothed out the ride compared to the 30+ year old shocks that were on there.
