ships with 10mm bolts and the part is shown as "exact match" for my vehicle (1998 Ford expedition 4.6L) but this uses 7mm bolts. Nevertheless, a box of 7mm bolts was available.

I bought this as a economical replacement for my OEM parts that had seriously rusted away. I bought these online at a great price and they were available the next town over for immediate pickup. I just took my confirmation to the service desk and they had the parts ready. I was very happy that I got the left and right parts so quickly. Unfortunately, the EGR tube was not available. If you stock the left or right exhaust manifold, a store should also ALWAYS have the EGR tube on hand. The factory EGR tube turns to dust and is a sure quick sale IF you keep one in stock.

Purchased both the passenger side and drivers side parts. The manifolds were of good quality. Was disappointed when I opened the passenger side and there was no manifold to head gasket. Prod desc indicated "all gaskets needed" were included. Purchased gaskets separately. Later on when I opened the drivers-side box it had gaskets and an EGR fitting which I did NOT expect to be there. Installation was pure hell but that's not Dorman's fault. I was repairing a 1997 Ford F150 and the studs on these are known to be a living hell to deal with sometimes. Ended up drilling out some studs and heli-coiling. Anyway the parts were of good quality although could possibly have been machined flatter on the flange side. And of course the missing gasket was annoying. Overall I'd recommend the Dorman parts. Good value for the money.

Soak those studs to the engine block several times. I used PB Blaster and let it soak for 48 hours. I wasn't taking any chances. repeat the PB soak several times. Two problems I had 1) the box was opened there were no gaskets and hardware was missing. 2) buy, collector stud kit separate - as the studs in the kit are not threaded all the way and you need that to tighten up the catalytic converter pipe.

I have had to replace both sides TWICE!. Unfortunately, you do not have many options. The only bonus is the lifetime warranty if you don't mind paying the shipping. Both sides ended up with holes and had to be replaced.

My mechanic's source wanted $230 for their name brand piece, but allows me to scout my own parts. I paid half that for the Dorman. He liked the quality and said the gasket was better than the vendor piece. Only criticism was that the bolts that connect the manifold to the exhaust pipe weren't threaded far enough so he had to substitute other hardware.

This was almost half the price my mechanic quoted for a replacment exhaust manifold. It says it comes with hardware - just no where near enough! The manifold needs eight nut/bolt sets to mount to the engine block, and two for the exhaust end. It only comes with three block sets. Also, the curve on the exhaust end of this third party replacment manifold doesn't match the original shape, so be prepared to do some custom work to make things mate up, or buy OEM or another brand.
