I bought these to put on my 97 Explorer after I bought a 1500 lb camper that would squat it. They done the job and restored my ride height with 90psi of air added. They ride nice down the road after a 500 mile trip. What I'm not happy about; The shocks come out of the box with one shock the rubber come apart as far as the surface sticking to the metal when first extended. This tells me they were sitting on the shelf a very long time. Probably 10 years when that model was introduced. The air T is all cheap plastic. I mounted it on my tow bar frame which is about 3/16" thick. With the mount nut about 1/4". That leaves 1/4" to get your air chuck on to fill it which didn't happen. I literally had to remove the T to put air in it. When you mount it you better select a thin piece of metal. I'm going to find me a longer metal T to replace it with. I remember back in 70's buying air shocks. They had a metal T. Quality has gone down hill to save a dollar. They do include clips to hold the hose. Instructions say use a 1/4" drill bit which is too small. I used a 5/16" bit which worked fine. Oh yeah, these shocks are black, not white like the picture if that makes a difference to you. It hides the rubber fragments stuck better. 🙂
