Part seems to be working fine, but it is in a heck of a place to get to on the vehicle. Thank you for having it and for the speed perks and online discount for purchasing the part at a more reasonable price.

Like the other comment, took a few to locate because the oem part is metal. Once found easy to change and I replaced the hose lines also hoping to keep things as clean and tight as possilbe. Worked good and code left for about a month of driving. Now same code is back, part should be under warrenty, but will they replace it or just tell me it must be something else in the endless EGR loop. So far when I tried to ask at the AA store where I got it, the guy just picked up the phone and ignored me - gotta love good customer service when you can find it.

Because of the physical differences in the 2 parts I had problems finding the original part. Once located, I knew it was going to be a fun operation to install. On my car, this part is located between the firewall and the back-side of the motor. Also this was the original part and was closing in on being 18 years old. it wasn't too bad getting the lock nuts off that held this part in (still a pain though) but the hoses and electrical connector was also difficult to remove. I finally just tugged on the one hose and it came off down lower at the back of the motor. I was then able to complete my installation. Car is now running and idling normally.

Definitely fixed my P0401 code. Exact match except the OME was metal alloy but this one is palstic. I am not sure how durable it is or how long it will last but for now it works great.

Had the intermitent then permanent check engine light for almost a year. Codes pointed to EGR/IAC vavle, Noticed slight ATX shifting harshness, and rough idle for 30 seconds. First tried IAC valve -- no change, then I ordered DPFE switch -- no more check engine light.

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer. I was getting a check engine light. I did some research on how to pull codes. I looked on YouTube and some Explorer forums and finally decided to do the ( paperclip method with the key on engine running) to access the trouble codes. I pulled these codes from the car's computer, 335 and 332. Long story short, it was something having to do with the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Fortunately, I did some further internet research and also talked to a local mechanic and found out that these codes usually are the result of a bad DPFE sensor. Now there are several names for the same part like the EGR valve pressure feedback sensor, so just be mindful of that. Anyway, the recommended Ford brand, was around $180 I think. But the Advance Auto Part was around $52. But I had read several comments on the Explorer forums website from people who had bought the cheaper brand and had to have it replaced every 2 weeks or so, until after the 4th or 5th replacement part, when they finally decided to just pay more and get the Ford brand product which solved there check engine light issue. However it wasn't until I read the other comments (HERE), that I realized that the issue was possibly not so much the cheaper part but the bad gas that was being used after the new cheaper sensor was put on. So I decided to give the cheaper Advance part a try, along with some 93 octane shell Nitro gasoline which my research said was good for keeping an engine running smooth and clean. By the way, after I put on the advanced part, I cleared the trouble codes from the car's computer. There's several ways to do it, I zip tied the positive and negative battery clamps together and set them on a cloth. I've heard that you can also just disconnect the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes. Bottom line is that the check engine light is gone and now after 3 months it's so far so good. (My thanks) to the other reviewers here for your very helpful advice!

Its been a year since I have purchased it (due to codes 332 and 335 and a very rough idle on 1995 Ford Explorer 2wd XLT 4 door) and have gone through 5 replacements, all under warranty. I thought at first the product was just poorly designed, but it turns out it was my my fault for filling up with bad gasoline. let me explain: This sensor kept getting water stopped up in the gas inlets and essentially clogging the sensor rendering it inoperable( and turning on check engine light), first, like I said, I thought the product was faulty, and kept turning it in for a replacement, then one day I decided I was going to pull off the sensor and shake the water out of it every two weeks (average time between failures). But one day, I filled up at another gas station that has an additive that removes deposits and water, and haven't removed the sensor for over 6 months now! Moral of the story, it is a good product, but make sure your putting in good quality gasoline with GOOD additives and above all no WATER contanimation. Try to avoid gas stations that are really old or set up near a construction site (like the old station I was going to was).

solved my trouble codes 335 EGR feedback signal is/was out of range - EVR or PFE (OBD1 on 95 Explorer)also codes 326 Pressure Feedback EGR shows low pressure EGR not seating or not seating intermittantly - PFE and 332 EGR did not open/respond during test or if memory code, did not open intermittantly - EVR or PFE replaced EGR valve too because was sticky, most likely one of them cause another to go bad be sure you check what tye of connector is on your car, there is two types of DPFE sensors

Code scanner indicated poor EGR flow; Sensor is a known problem on these application with several updates over the years. Did not cure the problem. (My scanner does not go into full detail, and I went for the most likely problem, after verifying clear path for sensor, and correct EGR valve diaphragm function.
