Exact replacement, says lifetime warranty but it's the second time in as many years that it needed replacement. I didn't realize the one that I had installed 18months ago and failed was also a Dormann, next time I'll spend the extra money for the OEM part since that one lasted 7 years

It took 4 hrs to remove the defective part from the dash of the car (Thanks Ford!). Looked up the part #, but did not find it on the Advance Auto website. Looked up part name, blend door actuator, & found 2 parts for this car - manual or automatic heater controls. Got the manual unit, ordered on line & got it for more than $100 less than the dealer wanted (Thanks again Ford). Picked it up same day at local store. Looked identical to original unit in dimensions & pins. In 1 hr had it installed & it worked perfectly. Nice to be able to control your heat & AC.

Installed on 2007 Ford Police Interceptor, straight forward repair if you know what your doing. Check the web for Crown Vic Net and search blend door replacement, has step by step inst w/ photos. Did not remove whole dash, accessed on Pass side by taking glove box and Airbag out, pull dash back and access actuator. One screw on actuator is a PITA but work with it and you'll get it. Start-Finish 2 1/2 hours w/ break at 1/2 point.

I fixed the Front A/C Clicking noise in Dash for my 2011 Ford Expedition XLT. I removed the Radio and trim pieces and the Blend Door Mode Actuator is right there. The 2nd bolt is hard to get out, so I created a tool, see my picture. I took 8mm socket and tap it into a 7/16 wrench. I opened the Actuator that was making the Clicking Noise and the small plastic Gear was missing 1 tooth. NOTE: fixing this Actuator was needed but I still have to fix one more to fix called the TEMP Vent Actuator that is located on side of A/C box and a real pain to get to, possibly remove the entire dash. This one is Clicking really bad and will have to get my mechanic to replace. I installed Dorman 604-252 on 7.16.20. I would have bought Motorcraft part but none of the part stores stock it. As some other reviews mention, this 604-252 was a PITA to get in after removing the orignal OEM. Why? Because of the extra 1/4" thickness. But the replacement Dorman, 604-252, worked for awhile. Then started making that noise again 9 months later. My advice get an OEM it only costs $6 more. Check the blogs have been many complaints on the Ford forum about Dorman. Not Advance Auto's fault.

Installation was straight forward. Unit, held in place by 2 8mm screws, is located to the right of the gas pedal. I removed the driver seat, laid on my back with my head next to the brake pedal. Unit is easy to get at, just unplug the electrical harness, remove the screws, pull the actuator away, down and out. Install in reverse order. Took me about 30 minutes to complete the task.

This unit ultimately worked in my 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. However, the shaft was too large, and did not initially fit the hole. However, I was able file the shaft down a little bit at a time, and finally get it to fit. So, will it work yes. But, you may need to modify it. Consider this before you buy, as other compatible units are available.

I fixed the AC Clicking in Rear for my 2011 Ford Expedition XLT. I opened the Actuator that was making the Clicking Noise and the small plastic Gear was missing 3 teeth. Rear Actuator is easy to replace see my pictures. I installed Dorman 604-213 on 7.16.20. I would have bought Motorcraft part but none of the part stores stock it.
