Was easy to install and easy to handle. I installed it on my 98 eclipse in what would have been less than 30min if the old one would've cooperated in comming off, had to take a grinder and cut it in half at one of the bushings due to the bolt getting completly rusted into the metal sleeve in the bushing. Other than that one little bump I had no issue with the install other than needing to get another bolt for it. Part seemed built well to last a long time. About the only con to it is how much it weighed.

the website says exact fit or OEM replacement but this is not the correct part for my car; so now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. This is the third time it happened with your website.

I have been a mechanic for 6 years. In that time I've installed hundreds of control arms. My 98 Ecliose had a failing lower ball joint in December 2015. I headed on down to Advance Auto to purchase this control arm with the ball joint already pressed in for a very reasonable price. Fast forward to today, June 10th, 2016. It's been LESS than 6 months and as I was driving down the road today my lower ball joint let go as I was driving. This sent my tire into my fender and ripped the CV Shaft out of the transmission. I took the part out on the side of the road and walked to the Advance Auto nearest to me. I was informed that although the part failed prematurely I was responsible for the cost of repair for any and all damaged parts that broke as a result of their faulty product. On one hand I understand a warranty only covers the product, however, for a failure like this it doesn't seem fair that damage caused as a DIRECT result of the faulty product is now my responsibility. I feel like I'm being punished for trusting Advance Auto to stock quality parts. During installation everything was torqued to spec and I was initially impressed by how sturdy it LOOKED. Guess I found out looks can be deceiving. I generally get annoyed when people write poor reviews blindly condemning after market parts because of one failure - it happens, however, on many DSM message boards I have found similar experiences from people who have installed this specific control arm. I've shopped at Advance for the 6 years I've been a professional mechanic but I'm honestly probably never going to shop here again. Between the customer service and poor craftsman ship of the part I don't find it worth my money or time. My advice - buy MOOG or Dealership for this part.
