Didn't realise how bad my existing Shocks were. Though I won't have anything to compare them to because I'm not gonna be putting on shocks anytime soon really happy with the performance of the shocks .

Order was processed but the discount code I was given did not "take" when checking out. Also advised by the mechanic that installed the set advised that one of units packaging was taped on one end and missing the mounting hardware.

I purchased the front set for my 2017 Chevrolet suburban Premier 4WD. Mine suburban came factory with magneride, the Z95 code. Magneride is awful, and always will be. I went with these Monroes based on advice from a company online out of Florida. Since I was doing a magneride delete, I installed the Monroes and the shock aim obd2 kit. My car is now 300% better than new. The ride is absolutely perfect. The install was tough, as I had only 2 atands, a small trolly jack, and limited tools. I didn't have to compress the parts much, but it was super tight. With better gear, it can be done in under an hour per strut. The studs were slightly off for one of the struts, but I tickled it into position with a rubber mallet. Corrected most of the forward rake of the car as well! The magneride shocks were completely trashed. This was my third set after twice replacing the magneride shocks after only 70K miles! Do this to your trash magneride setup ASAP!

I have tried 3 different Monroe models for my Tahoe. These were 1/2 shorter than oem units and the new hardware was for a small car, not a truck. Had to reuse 300k factory bushings and washer. Not sure why exact shocks so difficult to locate for a popular model.

Fit my 2001 Suburban fine and seems to be doing a good job so far. Was actually about a inch shorter than the factory one but took back to the store and compared to 2 others from Monroe and they were all the same length. Had just enough room to start the nut at the top of shock. Could have used jack and a piece of wood to push up wheel hub but did not need to. Make sure to attach bottom first in case you do have to raise the hub. Fairly easy to install, but was a pain to get the factory originals off that were rusted, but it's a 2001 Chevy and they have a rusty reputation.

Put on my 2002 Avalanche.. Cornering and handing are very good, but I feel every little bump in the road. I am older and prefer a smother ride, so these shocks are not my first choice. I should have known this on a "performance" shock so I will try to see about a refund.

Hardware missing from one unit. Store required I pay for the replacement hardware. Purchased online and had to go to two stores to pick up. First store said they had two in stock but could only find one. If you purchase they will raise the front end of your truck at least two inches.

I'M ON MY FOURTH SET OF THESE AFTER THE FIRST SET HAD ONE THAT FELL FLAT ON ITS FACE FROM THE BOX. THE SECOND SET IS PROBABLY STILL IN MY OLD TRUCK THAT RODE LIKE A LUMBER WAGON AFTER INSTALLING THESE. THE THIRD SET WAS IN MY CURRENT TRUCK FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND WORKED AS LONG AS THE ADJUSTERS WERE TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE MOST STIFF SETTING. SO NOW ON MY FOURTH SET THAT HAVE BEEN IN FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS THE ADJUSTERS NO LONGER WORK AND THE RIDE IS LIKE GARBAGE AGAIN, SO-NO MORE OF THESE PIECES OF JUNK. ALL WERE INSTALLED ON A 2007-2013 SILVERADO 1500

Replaced the front struts a little over a year ago with these. The ride was quite impressive until last month. I can feel the the front tires bounce from even the smallest bump, such as a road reflector, at highway speeds. The handling isn't what it used to be either. My wife said she hit a speed bump a little too fast just before I noticed the change, but I don't see any visible damage to the suspension and there is no damage to the tires or wheels. Shocks and struts should be able to handle the occasional pothole or speed bump without failing. I decided to change over to the Bilstein 4600 series struts instead.

Lasted almost one day on the front of an Avalanche. I didn't even bother to swap them out. Rancho has had a lot of complaints lately but I though i would given them a try. My mistake. Replaced them with $30 shocks and am much happier with the relativly firmer ride.
