Sounds good so far but did not come with the red gasket for my 93 gmc truck. Had to buy the extra pack with the green,red and yellow gaskets to bolt up to hose assembly. If it says direct fit it should come with all gaskets. Advance needs to fix this.

I purchased this compressor for a 1991 S10, installed properly, started the engine, then turned on the AC. Although this comp cools well, it is a little louder than I'm used to. I'd purchase a new one (it didn't fit the suction and discharge manifold) before finding an OEM reman unit. I'm seriously considering removing this comp and buying a brand new one...if I can find one that fits the hose manifold, which is O-ring type!

Instructions were not complete enough. Looked like they were pictures for someone who could not read. Over simplified. Clutch system had too much drag and caused engine overheating and even broke the belt due to too much drag. Had to replace the item and recharge at my expense. Got a lemon for the first one, now waiting on the replacement.

The compressor was easy to install, but after one day the clutch inside the compressor started to tick very loudly. I cut it off and it stopped, but then I tried to cut it back on and the pulley locked up and the belt came completely off.

Be aware this is a new different design not for a rear mount design on a 1981 corvette the back has a valve on the compressor that blocks the rear bracket even with a custom spacer and modifications it wouldn't come close .my original part was there to check and that valve on mine was on the bottom not the top.dont take your old one off till you check the rear
