      The tapered seating surface is only about half as big as OEM. Instead of providing a smaller surface than the OEM designed to support the aluminum wheel, I upgraded to the OEM look-alike lug nuts from Dorman.

      The tapered seating surface is too small for the aluminum wheels on my Escape, only contacting about a third as much as OEM. I upgraded to Dorman to support the wheel as the Ford designers intended.

      Using these requires a special socket you'll need in your car at all times and you can't let tire center guys alone with them. Air impact wrenches will break them.
