The new Edelbrock 1-Bar Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor No. 36021 is designed to fit Chevrolet LS3 applications that use an Edelbrock LS3 XT intake manifold or any other factory-style intake that has a 12mm MAP sensor port hole. This 1-Bar MAP Sensor No. 36021 should also replace the 1-bar MAP sensor on factory LS3 applications when an Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI System has been installed in order to provide a compatible calibration during installation and tuning.

The temperature of various systems must be reported to the engine control module (ECM) as well as other operating system controllers in the vehicle. Coolant temperature, cabin temperature, exhaust temperature and ambient temperature are just a few systems reported by a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is fed 5 volts by the systems computer, within the sensor housing will be a thermistor, or dropping resistor whose resistance value will change as the temperature surrounding it changes.
