This fit exactly on a 2011 F-150. This actuator is behind the radio and controls the blend of cool air and warm air. Without it the truck had no heat. Inspection of the old part I replaced showed a plastic tooth stripped from the gear.

I purchased this in the spring of 2020. Easy installation and looked like the oem part. It functioned fine for a few months then stopped changing modes. Pulled it out and notice the nylon shaft has split and was just turning without moving the blend door. Purchased an oem Ford actuator and replaced it . so far so good

the only thing good about this is it fit. this part does not work as required and after researching it, I found that many people came to the same conclusion. I decided to get the actual Ford part for just a few dollars more and will be returning the Dorman part.

Installation was straight forward. Unit, held in place by 2 8mm screws, is located to the right of the gas pedal. I removed the driver seat, laid on my back with my head next to the brake pedal. Unit is easy to get at, just unplug the electrical harness, remove the screws, pull the actuator away, down and out. Install in reverse order. Took me about 30 minutes to complete the task.
