My daughter was having an issue with squeeks when she applied the brakes on her car. I paid for the pads and the brake rotor. and my son installed them. She had not had an issue with the brake sqeeks any more.

I have two cars and an HD pickup with carquest platinum pads and rotors. Pads are quiet and low dusting. Initial bite is good but prefer more. Firm And Progressive throughout pedal travel for smooth, quiet stops. Rotors have coated centers and vents for a clean look. Can't say about overall wear but no complaints so far.
