Bought this for 2011 K2500HD 6.0... It works okay. When the temperature is below about 25 deg F, it always fails on first start attempt. The motor will spin, but the gear will not engage. I've had it exchanged once, two days after install. Replacement does same thing. I have ordered a brand-new OEM starter. Would not recommend for cold climates.
Bottom Line not recommended
First off keep your reciept if you ever need the warranty, they will not honor the warranty otherwise, then if your reciept fails remember where you bought it because the stores are not connected online and cant see what you have actually purchased. The store i went to did not honor the warranty hence i have this chance to write a review. Secondly the starter did not engage on the first crank and intermittently will do the same thing every third start or so. I will cycle the key then it will engage. Disappointed in product likely will try to get it replaced once if it doesn't rectify the issue i will have to go elsewhere for my parts.
Perfect price, perfect function!

I installed a remanufactured carquest starter on my 2011 silverado. The first one was defective so I had to take it off and return it. Put the new one on and it did the same thing. Worked for a day or so and then quit. I figured it must be something wrong with my truck. Took it to a friends auto shop and they looked it all over couldn't find any electrical problems. They put on a new acdelco starter and has been working fine ever since. So save yourself a bunch of trouble and don't buy this starter.
