I decided to go with this manufacturer through AdvanceAuto after the first head I ordered from another manufacturer came poorly machined, causing failure within 15 miles. The first one of these I ordered had two issues: 1) two of the followers were not seated correctly when the camshaft was installed. I noticed this when I flipped the head over and one fell out. The other one was pressed against the lifter on its rim. This required either loosening the cam cap bolts or using a valve spring compressor in order to seat them properly on the lifters. 2) One if the treaded holes for the fixed timing chain guide was completely stripped; the fastener slid in without resistance. The return process was simple, however; returned to the local store for a full refund including the expedited shipping costs. The second one I ordered had two new valves which would not fully seat, plus there was a significant amount of metal shavings in the oil and coolant passages. Using an air hose, approximately 1/4 teaspoon of shavings were blown out. With 200k mikes on this engine and weeks without my car due to delays, I decided to install and hope for the best. So far, it is running well. I recommend this product if you know what you are doing or have a mechanical mindset and know how to inspect for defects prior to installation. I don't work on engines regularly and I learned a few things in the process of making this repair. Hopefully this will help someone who is if the same skillset.
