• The Brake Pedal Position Sensor monitors the movement or position of the brake pedal to control anti-lock brake operation, brake lights, and turn off cruise control if applied.
• NTK’s Brake Pedal Position Sensors are manufactured to operational performance standards to meet or exceed OE fit, form and function to ensure proper function of the vehicle’s braking system.

The Brake Pedal Position sensor is similar to the Stop Light Switch but is a more critical sensor input to the vehicle stability system. The vehicle stability control module requires the exact location of the brake pedal during a vehicle skid so that a controlled brake pressure may be applied to each individual wheel in an attempt to straighten the vehicle position out and back into control.
