This is my second time buying these brake pads for my Silverado crew cab 1500. They are correctly sized and come with the stainless steel caliber shims too. They lasted 65,000 miles and I tow an atv trailer and enclose trailer often. The pads are quiet from the start no noise at all and are worth the cost. I will buy again

Purchase product on 10.2021. Pads fit perfect on Chevy suburban 2008-1500/5.3. No issues with installment. The test is how long they last. Too early to tell.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Installation was fine. I paid extra for these ceramic pads and my wheels turn black every other day. I have never had a set of pads that made such a mess.. Not sure if they were boxed incorrectly or what. Used these pads many times in the past never a problem. Figured I would go back to them.. I have so much break dust that the white letters on my brand new tires are turning black when it rains.. Something went wrong somewhere because this is not the product I remember. I shouldn't have to wipe my wheels down every two days.

Overall good product. Noticed stopping power improvements. My only complaint would be that the app manufacturers note said the coating on the back side doesn't need the anti squeak silicone. But I have noticed some squeaking

I can be a very hard driver at times. The only thing I can suggest to people that buy them Is MAKE SURE you break them in and buy good rotors. Don't recommend using these on a rotor that was just turned.

I paid a very high price in comparison to get a quality CERAMIC brake pad. When my shipment arrives, the packaging didn't have the word Ceramic on it anywhere. I did double and triple check the part number on the box matched my order and matched this product page. These were at least easy to install. After 2 months, these are clearly not ceramic. I have black dust so thick the aluminum rims are the same color as the tires. This is about 1800 miles total. with 250 miles towing a 3500 lb boat without trailer brakes and 80 miles towing a 2200 lb camper w/o brakes. Now these fade under heavy braking and squeal with light braking. Save your money and move on.

The impact clutch is packaged with a PH2 torsion bit in place. I was unable to remove this by hand and had to revert to using pliers. I found that irrespective of the nature of bit placed in the bit holder they were incredibly difficult to remove although some would come out by hand with a bit of wobbling. This was unacceptable as I needed to be able to easily replace bits. Taking a close look at the Impact Clutch I could see that there were two things keeping a bit in place, one was a magnet and the other was a retention ring that could be seen close to the outlet of the bit holder. The problematic retention ring was easy to remove using a small flathead screwdriver. Following this replacing bits is now very straightforward. It would be helpful if DeWalt were to advertise the approximate level of torque needed to overcome the clutch. To test the action of the clutch I screwed a PZ3 headed screw into a piece of hard wood. Using my normal cordless screwdriver, rated at 6NM, the clutch did not work. The screwdriver eventually just stopped having failed to sink the screw in completely. I then used a more powerful drill driver which successful drove the screw into the wood and then activated the clutch. For completeness I tried screwing in the same screw with a hand screwdriver and found the clutch worked. The Impact Clutch is a simple way of limiting the torque developed by a powerful drill driver.

To easily remove the bit from the Impact clutch with only 2 finger....... Move the clutch to off position, then pull the 1/4 hex stem back (you will feel a little play of no more than 2 mm) and hold it pulled with your one hand. With the other hand and with only 2 fingers pull the bit out.

I bought this a few days ago, but can't figure out how to change the bit. Can't give it a higher rating till I can do this.

Worst brake pad ever! Lots of pad left after 6 months but constant loud squeaking. I believe braking distance got worse with these pads as well. Was hoping to have premium quality pads. Big disappointment.
