I couldn't find an oil filter adapter housing in my town and I wanted to be sure that I could put an abrupt end of the oil leak to my well kept, money swaddled, newer body style, 2004 F-150 4x4. So I bought the FelPro gasket and pulled one off an Expedition at a Pick N Pull. That was easy enough. The realization came to me when I removed the skid plate and I couldn't see past the front differential and what not. Idk, it took me darkness to darkness but I ain't leaking oil and the Rousch cold air intake I just added roars smoothly and adds plenty of power in the hill country. I bought a Milwaukee auto ratchet in anticipation of this project and I was absolutely on point for that, too.

If your 4.6L is leaking make sure you replace this gasket first In addition you need: oil filter, Teflon tape, antifreeze Tools: bucket for antifreeze, pail for oil, 10mm socket, ratchet, (2) 6" extensions, and a universal Took less than a hour but you will have to drain the antifreeze and remove the oil filter. You do not have to remove the water hose on top of the housing, if you remove the oil pressure sensor make sure you use Teflon tape on the threads when you reassemble
