Housings of the bulbs are too large to fit the Civic with OEM halogen bulbs > projector design does not allow install.

I installed these in my daughters 2017 Chevy Sonic to replace the yellowish (and somewhat dim) halogen bulbs. They fit into the lamp socket just right, however the body of the heatsink was just a *little* to long for the cap which seats on the back of the access area to seat gently. Here's my DIY adjustment -- twist the cap back and forth a couple of time as if to seat it, but don't go beyond medium tension. Now remove the cap and you'll see a little line scored on the inside of the cap where the body of the heatsink is making contact with one of the protrusions inside the cap. These protrusions are shallow curved 'shoulders' all around the inside of the cap. Use a pocket knife to shave off some of that shoulder (less than 1/8" plastic to be removed) and the cap will seat gently without putting any force on the heatsink and/or lamp body.

Used these leds in my 2013 Chevy Impala LS headlight low beam. They fit in the housing and the dust covers went back on with no problem. I did remove the daytime running light fuses drl1 and drl2 in the fuse box so they would not be on all the time. They are a whiter light and can see farther down road. They seem to be slightly brighter than the halogen bulbs but not extreme bright to annoy other drivers.. No one has flashed me at night so they must not be blinding to other drivers. These are the exact same bulbs they sell in Canada as headlight bulbs. Just the US dot has not approved them yet.
